6 Best Alternatives to the Numark PT01 Scratch Portable Turntable (2026)

How alternatives compare to Numark

Pyle 15-Inch Portable PA Speaker with Party Lights

The Pyle 15-Inch Portable PA Speaker is a powered audio output device, not a turntable or controller. It replaces the PT01’s built-in speaker with significantly higher volume and party lights for outdoor events. It offers Bluetooth, USB, and AUX connectivity but provides no mixing controls or jog wheels. You pick this if you already have a source and need loud amplification. It lacks the tactile scratch capabilities and direct recording interface of the Numark. It is larger and heavier, designed for stationary parties rather than mobile DJing. This unit serves as a speaker, not a performance instrument.

Pyle 12-Inch Portable Bluetooth PA Speaker

The Pyle 12-Inch Portable Bluetooth PA Speaker is another audio output option, lacking any DJ mixing functions. It features a 12-inch woofer and supports SD card, USB, and Bluetooth inputs. Unlike the PT01, it has no jog wheels, pitch control, or scratch switches. It includes a microphone for karaoke but cannot mix tracks. You would choose this for background music at small gatherings where mixing is unnecessary. It is lighter than the Pyle 15-inch model but still lacks the portability and tactile control of the Numark turntable. It serves as an amplifier, not a controller, offering no direct recording capabilities.

VEVOR 1500W Electric Confetti Machine

The VEVOR 1500W Electric Confetti Machine is a visual effects device, completely unrelated to audio mixing. It provides airflow for confetti and includes remote control options. It has no audio inputs, outputs, or mixing capabilities. You would select this for stage visuals at weddings or events, not for DJ performances. It is significantly heavier and larger than the Numark PT01. It lacks any form of music control, jog wheels, or connectivity for audio devices. This product serves purely as entertainment hardware for visual impact, offering no utility for scratch DJing or portable music playback.

The Next Beat SX1 Portable DJ Controller

The Next Beat SX1 Portable DJ Controller is a digital mixer, contrasting with the PT01’s analog turntable design. It features dual-deck mixing and 13cm jog wheels for digital track control. It includes VirtualDJ LE software and an integrated audio interface. Unlike the PT01, it does not play vinyl records and lacks a built-in speaker. You pick this if you prefer digital mixing over tactile vinyl scratching. It is more compact but requires a computer for full functionality. It offers modern digital features but sacrifices the portability and self-contained nature of the Numark’s portable, battery-powered design.

Audiosavings Chauvet DJ OBEY70 DMX Bundle

The Audiosavings Chauvet DJ OBEY70 DMX Bundle is a lighting control unit, not an audio device. It manages DMX lighting scenes via a joystick and Bluetooth connectivity. It has no audio inputs, outputs, or mixing controls. You would choose this for building a lighting rig, not for DJ performances. It is rack-mountable and portable but lacks any music playback or scratch capabilities. It differs entirely from the Numark PT01, which is designed for audio manipulation. This bundle serves visual producers who need precise scene control, offering no utility for DJs requiring tactile music control or portable audio output.

Ikarao Shell S1 280W Portable Karaoke

The Ikarao Shell S1 280W Portable Karaoke is a specialized audio speaker for singing, not DJing. It features a two-channel design and includes a microphone. It lacks jog wheels, pitch control, and mixing interfaces. You would select this for karaoke performances where vocal amplification is primary. It is compact and portable but cannot mix music tracks. Unlike the Numark PT01, it offers no tactile control for scratching or beatmatching. It serves as a karaoke system, providing audio output without the ability to manipulate music sources. It is suitable for singers but not for DJs seeking portable performance tools.
