ProX XS-ZTABLE JR vs RANEFOUR
Surface area
The ProX XS-ZTABLE JR provides a spacious 35.5 by 22.5 inch tabletop. This large surface supports controllers, laptops, and mixers with ease. It also includes a utility storage shelf underneath. The ProX XS-RANEFOUR WLT ATA is a dedicated road case for the RANE Four controller. It measures 37.3 inches in length and 23.8 inches in width. However, it functions as a protective case rather than a wide workstation. The XS-ZTABLE JR offers significantly more open surface area for setup flexibility. You can arrange multiple devices side by side without crowding. The RANEFOUR case is tighter, designed to secure one specific controller.
Storage features
The ProX XS-ZTABLE JR includes a dedicated utility storage shelf beneath the main table. This shelf helps keep cables, headphones, or small accessories organized and within reach. The ProX XS-RANEFOUR WLT ATA also offers storage space beneath the controller. It features a sliding laptop shelf with cable access and 1U rack space with a removable lid. This setup is ideal for keeping your laptop and rack gear accessible while traveling. The XS-RANEFOUR provides more structured storage options for electronics. The XS-ZTABLE JR shelf is open, which may require you to add your own bins or trays.
Portability design
The ProX XS-ZTABLE JR is a folding Z-table that collapses into a compact case-style form. It features integrated recessed handles and durable low-profile wheels for transport. This design allows you to reduce its footprint significantly when moving it. The ProX XS-RANEFOUR WLT ATA is a rigid road case. It does not fold. It relies on off-terrain rubber wheels and spring-loaded handles for movement. The XS-ZTABLE JR offers greater versatility in how you store it when not in use. You can fold it flat. The RANEFOUR case maintains its rigid shape always, which may be larger for storage.
Weight capacity
The ProX XS-ZTABLE JR supports up to 200 pounds of evenly distributed weight. This high capacity allows you to place heavy mixers, multiple laptops, and other gear on the surface without concern. The specifications for the ProX XS-RANEFOUR WLT ATA do not list a specific weight capacity. It is built from 3/8 inch plywood with steel ball corners, which suggests durability. However, it is designed primarily to protect the RANE Four controller and a laptop. You should assume its load limit is lower than the 200-pound rating of the XS-ZTABLE JR. The ZTABLE JR is safer for heavy setups.
Specific compatibility
The ProX XS-RANEFOUR WLT ATA is engineered specifically for the RANE Four DJ controller. It features a high-density foam interior tailored to secure this exact model. It also includes 1U rack space for compatible rack-mounted gear. This precision fit ensures your RANE Four is protected from movement during transit. The ProX XS-ZTABLE JR is a universal workstation. It does not have custom foam cutouts for specific controllers. It is designed to hold any standard DJ controller, mixer, or laptop. If you own a RANE Four, the XS-RANEFOUR provides superior protection. If you use various gear, the XS-ZTABLE JR is more adaptable.
