Odyssey 12-Inch Battle Deck Coffin Alternatives: 6 Similar Picks Compared

You are looking at odyssey low profile 12 format alternatives to find a case that fits your specific battle setup. The original model offers a specialized compact solution with a patented removable gliding laptop platform and heavy-duty ball corners. It measures 48 by 23.8 by 9 inches and weighs 47 pounds. This design prioritizes integrated gear protection and a dedicated space for your mixer and turntables.
However, you might want a different spec or feature set. Some buyers need a wider mixer section or a heavier build for extra durability. Others may prefer a different color or a specific glide platform configuration. These 6 similar picks were chosen because their published specifications overlap with the original product. Each alternative shares the core battle deck style and includes a glide platform, but varies in dimensions, weight, and included accessories. You can compare these options to find the best fit for your equipment.
Our top pick: Odyssey 12-Inch Battle Deck Coffin Case with Wheels.
How Alternatives Compare to Original
Odyssey 12" DJ Coffin Case with Glide Platform
This model is slightly wider at 49.5 inches and taller at 10.5 inches compared to the original. It weighs 65 pounds, which is 18 pounds heavier than the 47-pound original. You get the same glide platform and 12-inch format support, but with a black finish instead of the standard look. The extra weight and bulk offer more robust corner protection. If you prioritize heavy-duty durability over easy transport, this premium option fits your needs. It sacrifices lightweight portability for enhanced gear security during travel.
Odyssey 12-Inch Turntable Mixer Coffin with Glide Platform
This case is significantly longer at 51.1 inches and wider at 25.6 inches than the original. It stands taller at 12 inches and weighs 67 pounds, making it 20 pounds heavier. It retains the glide platform and battle deck style but in a silver finish. The larger footprint accommodates a 12-inch mixer and turntables with more space. You trade the compact 48-inch width for increased internal volume. This budget-friendly choice suits mobile DJs who need ample room for their gear and do not mind the extra size and weight for better protection.
Odyssey 12" Mixer and Dual Turntable Coffin Case
This black case matches the original dimensions of 48 by 23.8 inches and 9 inches high. However, it weighs 56.9 pounds, which is nearly 10 pounds heavier than the original 47-pound unit. It includes the same glide platform and battle deck configuration. The added weight suggests denser padding or sturdier construction for your mixer and two turntables. You gain potentially better shock absorption without changing the external footprint. If you want the same compact shape but prefer a black aesthetic and are less concerned about lifting weight, this sturdy alternative is a solid pick for mobile setups.
Odyssey Rane One Flight Case with Glide Platform
This case is designed specifically for the Rane One controller, not traditional turntables. It measures 34 by 22 by 12 inches and weighs 45.4 pounds, making it lighter than the original. It features a glide platform and rack mounting flexibility. You sacrifice the battle deck layout for a specialized fit for one controller. The width is narrower, and the height is greater. This option is ideal if you own a Rane One and need a custom-fit case with a laptop glide. It gives up universal turntable compatibility for a tailored solution for modern controller-based DJing.
Odyssey 12-Inch Mixer Battle Turntable Coffin Case
This black case is 48 inches wide and 9 inches high, matching the original height and width. It is slightly shorter at 22.5 inches long and weighs 48.5 pounds, just 1.5 pounds more than the original. It lacks the glide platform mentioned in the original features. It is designed primarily for mixer protection up to 13 inches wide. You give up the laptop glide and turntable space for focused mixer safety. This choice suits DJs who transport only a mixer and value compact protection over all-in-one convenience. It offers robust corner protection in a slightly different shape.
Odyssey SC LIVE 4 Large Flight Case
This large flight case measures 36 inches long, 11 inches high, and 22 inches wide. It weighs 42 pounds, which is 5 pounds lighter than the original. It includes a built-in laptop platform and is designed for the Denon DJ SC LIVE 4 I-Board. You trade the 12-inch turntable format for a specific controller setup. The dimensions are quite different, offering a compact profile for a single controller and laptop. This option is best for DJs using the SC LIVE 4 who need a dedicated, lightweight case. It sacrifices battle deck versatility for a specialized, streamlined solution for modern digital setups.
